What’s up, y’all! My name is Joseph. My son “Z” and I comprise the Puente BBQ and Steak Team. Located in West Texas for the past seven years, we have grown to love all things BBQ and grilling.

I’ve always loved cooking at home for friends and family, especially Tex-Mex food. Growing up, our mom taught us to cook everything from scrambled eggs to arroz con pollo. And the best tortillas! In recent years, we’ve utilized social media, YouTube, and BBQ forums to learn about BBQ and grilling recipes.

We started our competition cooking journey in early 2021 here in Sweetwater, Texas. We’ve been hooked ever since!
