Our team members are Jason, Adam, Nicholas G., and Nicholas C. What began as friends hanging out doing what they love, backyard BBQ, quickly became a family of enthusiasts with the desire to promote the sport of competitive BBQ and a dream to stand on stage among the best! Dr. Squealgood BBQ was formed in 2019 and a competitive fire was immediately lit. Unfortunately, this fire was slightly dampened in 2020–2021 with the cancellation of many competitions. However, we found success in 2022.

Outside the competitive circuit in 2022, Dr. Squealgood BBQ teamed up with KCBS and Ace Hardware to hold two cooking demos. One demo featured pulled pork and the second featured smoked desserts. Dr. Squealgood BBQ is hitting the circuit hard in 2023, to include competing in the American Royal World Series of BBQ Invitational.
