The Good Charcoal Featured on Now We Know

July 1, 2026

The Good Charcoal was featured on Now We Know, a nationally broadcast series produced by WBC Productions.

The segment makes a claim about the charcoal aisle that is hard to argue with. Most bags in the United States have one of two problems. Either there are chemicals in them, or the wood came out of a healthy forest. Cutting healthy forest means trees that had decades left come down, and the species living in them lose their habitat.

Our acacia is the opposite case. It is invasive in Namibia. It spreads across open grassland, crowds out native species, and takes water that wildlife and grazing land need. Removing it is not the cost of making our charcoal. It is why the grassland comes back.

No chemicals either. One ingredient in the bag.

Then it burns hotter and longer than what sits next to it on the shelf. That part has not changed.

Good Food Deserves Good Charcoal.
